Member in the ZeMKI Lab: "Film, Media Art and Popular Culture"

Florian Flömer is currently working on his doctoral thesis concerning the photo collages of the British artist John Stezaker at the Institute for Art History - Film Studies - Art Education, University of Bremen. The thesis with the title “Masks, Ghosts, Spheres. The construction and appearance of the third in the collages of John Stezaker” deals with the intermedial connections of film and photography in the work of the artist. Florian Flömer is lecturer at the University of Bremen where he teaches theory of film and photography.
Previously Florian Flömer studied Art History and Aesthetics, Art Education, German Studies and Liberal Arts at the Braunschweig University of Arts. He also worked here as assistant at the professorship of philosophy/aesthetics of contemporary art. In 2015 he completed an internship at the Goethe-Institute Seoul (South-Korea).
